Sunbed FAQs
How long should my first sunbed session be?
It comes down to your skin type, and that’s what the team sets for you. We start fair skin low, around 6 minutes, then build gradually. The K11’s sensor reads your skin and tailors the dose so you get an even result without burning.
How do I know my skin type and minutes?
Ask us when you’re in. The team will check your skin type and give you a starting time. Build a base slowly. Rushing it is how people burn.
How long should I leave between sessions?
Leave at least 24 to 48 hours between sessions. That gives your colour time to develop and your skin time to rest.
Do I need eye protection?
Yes. Goggles are required for every session and we’ve got them here in the studio. Never tan without them on, even for a few minutes.
What’s the difference between stand-up and lie-down?
A stand-up gives you a fast all-over tan with no pressure points, so it’s ideal for a quick top-up. A lie-down like the K11 is roomier and more relaxing for a longer session.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. Sunbeds are over-18s only and every session is supervised, in line with Scottish regulations.
